Description
The Jones Stratos 2025 Splitboard is an all-conditions, all-terrain splitboard made for ripping turns, slashing gullies and boosting airs in the backcountry. A tapered directional freeride shape combined with an energetic freestyle board feel make this splitboard incredibly versatile and maneuverable in pow or mixed conditions.
Shape
Directional - With this shape, the binding is a bit more backwards so your splitboard has a longer nose. As the name suggests, this is primarily a freeride|all-mountain snowboard that gives you more float in powder.
Rocker Type
Directional Rocker - this is a hybrid profile with more rocker in the tip and camber between the bindings. This gives you more maneuverability, edge grip and response.
Flex rating
7/10 - Going hard on the slopes is no problem with the stiffest splitboards. This hard flex offers the highest response and support. A powerful splitboard for powerful boarders.
Core
FSC™ Ultra Core - this core is the lightest of Jones. Made of paulownia wood with specially positioned poplar stringers.
Base
Sintered 9900 Base - durable material made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and carbon.
Terrain
All-Mountain|Freeride - Split boards with a directional shape and wider nose than tail are usually all-mountain|freeride snowboards. These are designed to explore the entire mountain, and the versatile design gives you more than enough float in the powder. Snowboards like the Jones Stratis do very well in fresh, deep snow.
Rider level
Advanced|Expert - These split boards are for the most experienced snowboarders. In these snowboards you often see metal, carbon and other reinforcements for optimal stiffness and strength.
