Etnies

Etnies skateboarding is the first European skateboard brand that still exists to this day. It releases shoes, clothes and accessories for skating. At Stoked Boarshop you can always buy Etnies shoes, pants, t-shirts, caps and even iPhone covers online or in our stores.

Pierre André Sénizergues started designing for the brand in 1986, made it big in Europe and set a milestone in skate history: the first pro model skate shoe from a brand founded and run by and for skaters, was from Etnies. Sénizergues went with Etnies to the US. There, he built from the Etnies brand the Sole Technology Inc. company and the test lab STI Lab. This also led to the creation of skateboarding brands Emerica and éS, as well as ThirtyTwo (snowboard boots).

Etnies has sponsored legends like Arto Saari, Elissa Steamer and Ali Boulala, and today it has a top team including Ryan Sheckler and Chris Joslin. Also the Belgian Axel Cruysberghs has been ripping for Etnies since 2005. Furthermore, the brand undertakes various actions for people and planet. For every pair of shoes sold, Etnies plants a tree in the rainforest of Costa Rica. On April 22, 2015, the millionth (!) tree was planted. In addition, Etnies always collaborates with young artists to design special editions and thus supports the whole skateboard scene.
