Description
The Jones Frontier 2025 Splitboard is the perfect split for playful riders looking for a directional freeride shape with a friendly flex that is easy to turn and tweak. The Frontier has a floaty nose for ripping pow and a freestyle tail for popping pillows and stomping cliff drops.
Shape
Directional - With this shape, the binding is a bit more backwards so your splitboard has a longer nose. As the name suggests, this is primarily a freeride|all-mountain snowboard that gives you more float in powder.
Rocker Type
Directional Rocker - this is a hybrid profile with more rocker in the tip and camber between the bindings. This gives you more maneuverability, edge grip and response.
Flex rating
6/10 - Split boards with a medium flex are stable on the piste but at the same time offer enough flexibility for the park. A versatile flex with enough forgiveness for everyday use.
Core
V-Core - these snowboards are a bit softer in the middle of the board for better maneuverability and stiffer in the nose and tail for stability and pop.
Base
Sintered 8000 Base - durable material made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and carbon.
Extra
Bio resin - Renewable bio-based epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy.
Site
All-Mountain|Freeride - Split boards with a directional shape and wider nose than tail are usually all-mountain|freeride snowboards. These are designed to explore the entire mountain, and the versatile design gives you more than enough float in the powder. Snowboards like the Jones Frontier do very well in fresh, deep snow.
Rider level
Intermediate|Advanced - Most snowboarders fall into this level. These splitboards are ideal if you are looking for new sensations. They usually have a stronger core and are also often wider and stiffer than splitboards for beginners.
